Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar has sought to put an end to comparisons between Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Monster’, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, and his own ‘Original Monster’, helmed by R. Chandru, saying the two projects have completely different stories.
Speaking at the title launch of ‘Original Monster’, Shiva Rajkumar rejected the idea of a rivalry between the two films.
“Salman’s Monster and Original Monster both stories are really different. It’s not Shiva vs Salman, we are one,” he said.
The actor also hinted at the possibility of sharing the screen with Salman Khan in the future.
“God wishes, we will be working together. Might be Salman and I working together,” Shiva Rajkumar said.
Billed as a pan-India action spectacle, ‘Original Monster’ is set to feature Shiva Rajkumar in an intense avatar. The makers unveiled the film’s motion poster on Sunday, showing the actor’s character holding a blood-soaked weapon amid a chaotic setting.
The film is backed by Anand Pandit, with music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by AJ Shetty.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s ‘Monster’ is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. The pan-India action entertainer is expected to release on Eid 2027 and will feature Salman alongside Nayanthara, marking their first major collaboration.
Salman’s upcoming slate also includes Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’, earlier titled ‘Battle of Galwan’. The film, backed by Salman Khan Films, is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops and stars Chitrangda Singh opposite Salman.
The actor will also return as the host of the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 20’.
