But Tim David made headlines with his actions and now he has to suffer the consequences of it. The BCCI has found David guilty of violating the IPL Code of Conduct, which pertains to obscene gestures on the field and registering protests against the umpire’s decision. For this, Tim David has been fined 30 percent of the match fee. Besides, 2 demerit points have also been registered in his name. They may also be banned if they get the next demerit point.
This match did not prove to be good for Tim David personally and he could not do anything amazing with the bat. When Bengaluru needed 36 runs in 25 balls, David came to the crease after the dismissal of Jitesh Sharma. But he could last only for one ball and returned to the pavilion without opening the account.
