Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor came forward after rumors of his death spread on social media and released a video saying that he is completely healthy. The 73-year-old actor expressed displeasure over those spreading fake news and threatened to file a cyber complaint. Earlier, stars like Paresh Rawal, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth have also become victims of death hoax.
Bollywood’s veteran villain Shakti Kapoor recently came into limelight due to false news of his death spread on social media. Fans were shocked and upset after the fake news of his demise went viral on social media platforms. However, the actor himself put an end to these rumors by sharing a video on Instagram. 73 year old Shakti Kapoor said that he is completely healthy. He also said that he will file a cyber complaint against those spreading fake news.

Shakti Kapoor released a video on Instagram on Thursday and said, “Hello everyone… the news of my death is completely false. I am healthy and happy. Please do not pay attention to it. I am going to file a cyber complaint regarding this. This is absolutely not true.” Shakti Kapoor, who basically played the role of villain in Bollywood films, assured the fans in a very calm manner that he was safe. As soon as the video surfaced on social media, fans heaved a sigh of relief and started demanding action against those spreading fake news.

Many big stars have become victims of death hoax
Shakti Kapoor is not the only actor who has had to face fake news on social media. Earlier, rumors of death have also spread about many stars like Paresh Rawal, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Rajinikanth. Last year, Raza Murad also had to face a similar viral post. At that time he had lodged a complaint at Andheri Police Station in Mumbai. While talking to ANI, Raza Murad had told that people had even started paying tribute to him on social media.

Shakti Kapoor is counted among the most popular actors of Hindi cinema. In the 1980s and 1990s, he gained recognition among the audience through villain and comic roles. He has appeared in more than 700 films in his five decade long career. His characters in films like ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Chaalbaaz’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Judwaa’, ‘Satte Pe Satta’ and ‘Bol Radha Bol’ are still remembered. Recently he was seen in ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’.
