A similar operation was done in Delhi also

Earlier, on May 23, North Delhi Police had also launched a major cordon and search operation (CASO) on Milan Vihar Pushta Road under the jurisdiction of Wazirabad police station.

The intensive operation was launched following repeated complaints from local residents about dark stretches on Pushta Road, which had allegedly become a hub of criminal activities.

During the operation, security forces cordoned off key entry and exit points of the area to thoroughly screen suspected persons, set up stringent checkpoints to identify stolen vehicles or those being transported illegally, and conducted targeted searches for illegal weapons, narcotics and cases of public drinking.

The main objective of this sudden increased police presence was to eliminate active criminal hotspots and restore a sense of security among law-abiding citizens. (ANI)
