A review meeting was organized on Thursday under the chairmanship of Dr. Pratima, Secretary, Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, Bihar. In the meeting, updated information about the schemes running in various engineering and polytechnic institutes on equipment, language lab, consultancy, biometric attendance, foreign language classes, Wi-Fi, hostels, boundaries were discussed with all the assistant directors of the department.
Information was also obtained on many other points in the meeting. These include information on the status of priority list of institution-wise schemes allotted to Assistant Directors, status of expenditure of funds provided to various institutions, status of submission of DC bill of funds provided to the institutions of Bihar Council on Science and Technology/Department. It was told in the meeting that the percentage of expenditure on these works is less in the institutions. They need to speed up the execution of tasks and get them completed. Biometric attendance of students and faculty, internship program, society registration, student credit card scheme, etc. were also discussed in the meeting.
