Police and investigation agencies are continuously raiding to arrest Shaista Parveen, wife of mafia Atiq Ahmed, who has been absconding for more than a year. Now the police has got important information about Shaista. This information has been given to Prayagraj Police by a special henchman of Atiq, whose name is Mo Shamshad. Shamshad has been arrested by the police recently.
According to information received from police sources, during interrogation of Shamshad, police have come to know important things about Shaista. A few months ago, Shaista was to have a secret meeting in Delhi. Atiq’s henchmen took Shamshad in a car to an unknown place near Delhi, where he was to meet Shaista. It is not yet clear in what context this meeting was to take place.
Who is Mohammad Shamshad?
On August 29, the police of Puramufti police station of Prayagraj arrested Mohd Shamshad, a resident of Bailey Thana Cantt, near the Ponghat bridge of Bamrauli. Four bombs were recovered from him. Actually, the police had found some CCTV footage in which Mohd Shamshad was seen with Shaista Parveen, the wife of mafia Atiq, who has a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head. He was arrested on the basis of identification of this footage. Shamshad was continuously living in hiding in Prayagraj and Pratapgarh. A case has been registered against him under the Explosives Act as well as 392 and 120/211 IPS.

Shaista is absconding since the murder of Umesh Pal
Mafia Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista is absconding since the murder of Umesh Pal, the main witness in the BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case. According to the police dossier, four cases have been registered against Shaista since 2009. One case is of murder and the other three are of fraud. All three cases are in the CJM court.
Shaista joined AIMIM in 2021. After this, she joined BSP in January 2023. She hoped that she would get the mayor’s ticket from BSP. However, after the murder of Umesh Pal, the party distanced itself from Atiq and his family. A reward of Rs 50,000 has also been announced by the police on Shaista. She is constantly dodging the police.
Atiq and Ashraf were murdered in Prayagraj
On 24 February 2023, Umesh Pal, the main witness in the Raju Pal murder case, was shot dead in Prayagraj. Allegations were made that the crime was committed at the behest of jailed mafia Atiq Ahmed and brother Ashraf. Atiq Ahmed was then lodged in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat. After this incident, Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf were brought to Prayagraj. On 15 April 2023, both the brothers were shot dead.
