TV9 Badminton Championship.
TV9 Network has created an excellent sports platform for corporate employees, where professionals who work daily between AC offices and computer screens can showcase their sports talent. The first season had received a great response from many big companies of the country, after which now its second season is being organized on an even grander level. These competitions will be held from 15th to 17th May at Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
Employees and representatives of leading international companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Infosys will participate in this sports event.
Corporate Badminton Tournament under the guidance of Pullela Gopichand
It is a special honor for us that Padma Bhushan awardee Pullela Gopichand, who brought Indian badminton to global prominence, is a partner of this tournament. These competitions will be organized in his own academy located in Gachibowli. This is a big inspiration for the players. Under his guidance, these matches will be conducted as per international standards.
The first season has been very successful
The first season received an overwhelming response from top companies. Leading companies like Google, Dell, Uber, MyHome, Microsoft, Infosys, Amazon, Ikea, MakeMyTrip, Times of India, ABB, Dr. Reddy’s, Novartis, Schrodinger, Capgemini, Greenco, LMT and Deloitte participated.
More than 300 players and more than 64 corporate teams participated in this tournament and more than 1000 matches were organized. All these companies are participating this year also.
Special features of the competition
Team Championship (Men’s): Men’s Singles (2 matches), Men’s Doubles
There should be a minimum of 3 and maximum 5 players in a team. All players should be from the same organization.
Open Category (Individual): Men’s singles, women’s singles, mixed doubles, in which people from different organizations can also participate.
Total prize of Rs 5 lakh
The winners will be awarded a total prize money of Rs 5 lakh along with trophy and special honours.
