Schools will now open in Delhi-NCR, classes will run in both online and offline modes.

With the improvement in pollution situation in Delhi NCR, CAQM has taken a big decision. In this, permission has been given to open schools in Delhi NCR. Along with this, arrangements have been made that studies will continue in online mode also. Students who do not want to come to school in such circumstances cannot be forced to come to school. According to this order, schools in Delhi NCR will now operate in both online and offline mode.

Recently, AQI in Delhi NCR had crossed 460. After this the Supreme Court had shown a strict attitude. In such a situation, CAQM had given orders to close schools till 10th class in Delhi NCR and start online studies. However, in view of the continuously decreasing pollution levels in the last two days, schools have been given permission to reopen on offline mode late on Monday evening.

The final decision will be taken by the respective state governments

According to the latest order, exemption has been given under Clause 11 of Phase-III of GRAP, Clause 5 and Clause 8 of Phase-IV of GRAP. In this section, provisions have been made regarding colleges and educational institutions. It has been said that the state governments in Delhi NCR will decide whether physical classes up to class 12 should be started in schools or not. The Delhi government will take a decision in this regard in Delhi.

Studies will continue in online mode also

Whereas the decision regarding Noida and Ghaziabad of NCR will be taken by the Uttar Pradesh government and the decision taken by the Haryana government regarding Gurugram Fariabad. According to the order of CAQM, students and parents will also have to be provided the option of education in online mode. It has been made clear that if students do not want to come to school in view of the current situation of pollution, then they cannot be forced to do so.
