Saying since 2015, but Kejriwal has not yet taken a dip in Yamuna, BJP attacks on Delhi pollution

As soon as winter arrives, the effects of air pollution are visible in North India. The biggest impact of pollution is being seen in the capital Delhi, where more than 3 crore people are being affected by it. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari targeted the Aam Aadmi Party over the increasing air pollution in Delhi. He said, “I have had a sore throat for the last five days due to this pollution. “I am taking medicines so that I can survive in this deadly pollution.” He said that Kejriwal is responsible for the deteriorating health of our state president Virendra Sachdeva. The spokesperson took a jibe at AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and said that he is talking about taking a dip in Yamuna, but till now he has not taken a dip. He further said, “I give an open challenge to Kejriwal to show him by taking a dip in Yamuna in the last 24 hours.”

The spokesperson said that Kejriwal is not taking a dip because the river has now become dirty. He said that the condition of the river has deteriorated due to pollution. He also said that Kejriwal can install 40 purifiers in his big bungalow, but he has no idea what will happen to the people living in slums.

Show by living in slums instead of Sheesh Mahal

He further said, “If Kejriwal thinks that he has improved the air of Delhi, then show him by roaming around without a mask.” He said, “If they feel that they have really done some work on pollution, then show it by living in slums for a week instead of their Sheesh Mahal.” He said that he will not do this because he knows that he has only committed misdeeds in Delhi. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai held a meeting on Saturday to deal with this. Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Bhupendra Yadav, and environment ministers of neighboring states were also present in this meeting. The objective of the meeting was to assess the deteriorating air quality in Delhi and find a solution.

The Environment Minister expressed concern over the delay in this meeting and said, “A similar meeting was held in August last year. Due to which we got more time to make strategy. This year’s meeting took place in the last week of October. If it had been organized three months earlier, we could have dealt with the problem of pollution more effectively.”

Delhi will remain a gas chamber for three months

It is noteworthy that with the onset of winter in Delhi, people are forced to breathe poisonous air in a kind of gas chamber for about three months. It affects children, elderly, pregnant women and sick people the most. The Supreme Court has also expressed its displeasure several times over Delhi’s pollution. From the Central Government to the State Governments, they present different claims to eliminate pollution, but this has not brought any major relief in the level of pollution.
