When is the first Monday of Sawan 2026?
This time the first Monday of Sawan is on 3rd August. On this day, Panchami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Shravan month will remain for the whole day, the festival of Mauna Panchami will be celebrated on this day. Sawan Monday puja method-mantra
– On Monday morning of Sawan, after taking bath etc., take a pledge to fast and worship. You can perform puja in any of the Muhurta mentioned above.
– When the auspicious time starts, first anoint the Shivalinga with pure water, then with cow’s milk and after that again with water.
-Apply sandalwood to Mahadev and offer flowers. Light a lamp of pure ghee. Offer Abir, Gulal, rice, sacred thread, Bilva Patra, Dhatura and Data.
– While worshiping, keep chanting the mantra Om Namah Shivay in your mind. Offer fruits and sweets to Lord Shiva as per your wish.
– After this, perform Aarti as per the rituals. Distribute Prasad among the devotees and if possible, recite Shiva Chalisa or Shiva Stuti etc.
