Saurabh Bhardwaj attacks BJP on Rohini building accident, says ‘zero accountability’ Rohini Building Collapse Aap Leader Saurabh Bhardwaj Slams Bjp Govt

AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj attacked BJP over the death of 4 people due to building collapse in Rohini. Accusing the government of ‘zero accountability’, he said that safety audit has become just a means of bribery and a show off.

New Delhi [भारत]July 9 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj on Thursday targeted the BJP over the Rohini building collapse incident. Four people lost their lives in this accident. Alleging “zero accountability” in dealing with such cases, Bhardwaj accused the government of turning the security audit into a sham and shielding those responsible.

In a post on Twitter, Bhardwaj said, “Zero accountability. So far 4 people have been found dead, 3 injured under the debris of the building collapse in Rohini. What has the 4-engine BJP government learned from the building collapse in Saket (Saidulajab)?”

AAP’s allegation – Safety audit is just a show

He alleged that the BJP government had claimed to conduct safety audit of buildings across Delhi but failed to prevent such tragedies. Bhardwaj alleged, “The BJP government claimed that they had conducted a safety audit of all buildings in Delhi and identified dangerous buildings. It seems that the government and the MCD used this opportunity to put pressure on city businesses and extort huge bribes in the name of safety audit. This entire exercise was just a sham.”

‘Action is taken only on small fish’

The AAP leader further claimed that lower level officials are regularly suspended after such incidents, while senior officials escape accountability. He said, “Whenever such an incident happens, innocent people lose their lives, the BJP government will suspend a JE/AE. In a few weeks they resume their job and everything becomes normal. Be it Ram temple, Rs 650 crore health scam, building collapse or fire incidents, only small fish are prosecuted. Crocodiles get protection from the government.”

Government also attacked regarding waterlogging

In another post, Bhardwaj also attacked the BJP government over the massive waterlogging in the national capital following heavy rains. He posted, “Delhi – development is flowing from everywhere. Just now the road was built, now money has been spent, now water and the respect of the BJP government, everything is flowing.”
