The Central Government has given special assistance of Rs 2355.54 crore to Uttarakhand under SASCI and Pride of Hills Scheme. Chief Minister Dhami expressed his gratitude.
The Central Government has sanctioned a total financial assistance of Rs 2355.54 crore under the “Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) Scheme” to accelerate the development work of Uttarakhand. This amount will strengthen various development projects and infrastructure works in the state.
Approval of Rs 71.94 crore under SASCI Scheme
According to the order issued by the Finance Ministry, Rs 71.94 crore has been sanctioned to Uttarakhand under the “Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) Scheme”. This amount will be used to pursue projects related to capital investment in the state.
Rs 2283.60 crore to Uttarakhand in Pride of Hills scheme
Under the same scheme, “Pride of Hills (Special Development Assistance Scheme for Hilly States)”, a huge amount of Rs 2283.60 crore has been sanctioned for Uttarakhand. The objective of this scheme is to promote development work and strengthen infrastructure facilities in the hilly states.
Rs 2355.54 crore received so far in the financial year 2026-27
Including the amount approved in both the items, the Government of India has so far provided a total of Rs 2355.54 crore to Uttarakhand during the financial year 2026-27. This will help the state government to implement development plans effectively.
