Mumbai (Maharashtra) [भारत]July 19 (ANI): Actress Sargun Mehta got emotional watching her husband actor Ravi Dubey start his journey as Laxman in Nitish Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. Sharing moments from the film’s trailer launch in Delhi, Sargun wrote an emotional note in which she said she ‘couldn’t stop crying’ remembering Ravi’s visit.
Taking to Instagram, Sargun shared several pictures and videos from the grand trailer launch event. Describing her heart as ‘so full’ and saying that she ‘can’t stop crying’, the actress thanked casting director Mukesh Chhabra for believing in Ravi and expressed how proud she is of her husband’s hard work.
She wrote, “My heart is so full that I can’t type until I stop crying and I can’t stop crying right now. Can’t wait for the world to see the trailer on 24th July 2026. Earlier, at the trailer launch event held on Saturday evening, Ravi Dubey also got emotional while talking about playing the role of Laxman in the film. Calling the opportunity a ‘divine blessing’, the actor thanked the makers for trusting him with one of the most important characters of the epic.

Ravi Dubey will be seen as Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Planned as a two-part saga, the film is inspired by the ancient epic Ramayana and traces the journey of Rama, considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, from his life as the prince of Ayodhya, to his exile to his fight against Ravana.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Music is composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.
Release date of ‘Ramayana’
