Mumbai, October 24: Tennis icon Sania Mirza has launched the second season of her popular podcast, ‘Serving It Up with Sania’. This season promises a unique blend of sports, entertainment, and candid conversations, kicking off with actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal.
The inaugural episode of Season 2 will see Sonakshi and Zaheer openly discussing their relationship, marriage, and their experience of working together. Sania shared her initial hesitation about podcasting, but quickly grew to love the format, enjoying conversations that reveal more about celebrities beyond their public personas.
“When I first tried my hand at podcasting, I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy it. But over time, I realised how much I love having these conversations,” Sania stated. She added, “The success and response to Season 1 gave me even more reason to come back. I’ve spent years smashing it on the tennis court, and now I’m enjoying this new innings as a podcaster.”
The episode begins with Sania joining the couple for a game of pickleball, before delving into their seven-year relationship and their first five-and-a-half-hour conversation. Sonakshi spoke about working with her husband, “For me, romancing on screen is the toughest thing ever. So when it’s with your own husband, then it’s fine. It just eases you out.” Sania praised their pickleball skills, calling them the ‘best players’ the show has hosted.
