Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi’s enmity goes a long way. 28 years after the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, the superstar is not completely free from its shadow. While members of Lawrence’s gang target Bollywood stars, the jailed gangster’s uncle, Ramesh Bishnoi, made a fresh statement. At the celebration of the 542nd foundation day of Bishnoi Samaj, he said Salman must apologise and end the matter. Ramesh further assured that he would provide security to Khan if he pays obeisance at the Bishnoi community’s Mukti Dham Mukam temple in Bikaner.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s uncle makes fresh statement
According to The Tribune’s report, Ramesh clarified that he did not endorse violence in any form and had been telling Lawrence and others to refrain from it. “I do not support any killing or attack on or anyone associated with him by the Lawrence group,” he said, before adding, “I am just saying that anger remains in the community and it should be resolved.”
Talking to the portal, Bishnoi said that he or his nephew Lawrence has no personal enmity with Salman and believed the matter could have ended had the actor apologised to the community. “There was anger among Bishnois, and it could have been addressed long ago,” he told.
Salman Khan’s connection to Tiger Shroff attack
In October, when three assailants, hired by Lawrence’s gang member Anil Pandit, attacked Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, Devendra Budiya of the Bishnoi community in Jodhpur has appealed to Salman to apologise and end the controversy. He told ANI that apologising to a community does not diminish a person’s stature and that the superstar should come forward and take the initiative to find a peaceful resolution to the entire matter.
He further said that he had also attempted to counsel the people concerned about the issue around a year and a half ago. He said he had advised Salman, telling him that he was a superstar and should take the matter seriously and make an effort to resolve it.
“I will keep going on until Salman Khan apologises. I talked to him about a year and a half ago. I explained it to him a lot. I told him, ‘You’re going to lose your life. You’re a superstar, don’t act like this.’ Then he said, ‘Okay, okay, I’ll do it,’ and later, he didn’t meet,” said Devendra.
In addition, he recalled advising Salman to visit a temple and apologise. He expressed confidence that the Bishnoi community is generous and compassionate, and that the controversy could be brought to an end through dialogue and an apology. He said the matter could be resolved if Salman Khan came forward and apologised. He added, “I asked Salman to come to the temple here and apologise. Our society is very compassionate.”
