Salman Khan is back with another season of Bigg Boss. In its 20th edition, celebrities from different walks of life have entered the house. As their Bigg Boss 20 journey begins, the premiere episode introduced the theme of the season. Salman explained the season’s theme, Tathas-two. Bigg Boss 20’s premiere episode aired on September 6 on JioHotstar at 9 PM and Colors from 10:30 PM onwards. The first contestant to enter the house was renowned television actress Kanika Mann. She got a special power from Bigg Boss that could change the course of the season.
Kanika Mann is Bigg Boss 20’s first task-master
Kanika entered the house before the rest of the contestants. She was summoned to the confession room where Bigg Boss made her the first ‘task master’ of the season. Kanika got the authority to restrict the powers that other inmates would get.
What does Tathas-Two mean?
At the end of the premiere episode, Bigg Boss revealed what the theme, Tathas-Two, means. He explained that every contestant will have two ‘lives’. This means they will get a chance to save themselves from eviction twice. However, once they exhaust the lifelines, they will lose the power to safeguard themselves from elimination.

During the premiere, contestants Kanika Mann, Aamrapali Dubey, Yung DSA, Uditi Singh and Mahhi Vij take the stage with special performances, while Manoj Tiwari came on stage to support his daughter and contestant, Rhiti Tiwari. Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirahua also joined the celebrations to support Aamrapali Dubey, making the evening a memorable mix of entertainment, performances and special moments. Adding another interesting turn to the lineup, Love Gill earned her place in the Bigg Boss house through ‘Fans Ka Faisla’, securing the highest number of votes from the audience. The premiere also saw a special moment for Mary Kom, as Priyanka Chopra sent her best wishes and good luck for her Bigg Boss journey.
Besides them, the contestants of this season are Arishfa Khan, Aman Gandhi, Qazi Ahmad Tauqeer, Kushal Tanwar AKA Gullu, Rohed Khan, Isha Rikhi, Aasif Khan, and Tanmay Singh AKA Scoutop. Bigg Boss 20 has 17 celebrity contestants.
After 105 days, one of the 17 contestants will be holding the coveted Bigg Boss 20 trophy. While Rhiya Ahir did not qualify for the show at this stage, there is a possibility of her entering the house as a wild card contestant.
