
A case of cyber fraud has come to light with Swami Supridanand of Ramakrishna Ashram in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The fraudsters accused them of money laundering and kept them digital arrest for 26 days and during this time transferred two crore 52 lakh rupees from their account to their account. On doubt, Mahant Swami Supridanand has given a complaint to the police. This incident is considered to be the biggest cyber fraud of Madhya Pradesh.
In the complaint given to the police, Mahant has told that he received a call on 17 March. The caller described himself as an officer of the Nashik Police in Maharashtra and said that he has made a transaction of crores of rupees with the accused of money laundering. When he refused, the accused made a video call to him. During this, the scene of the police station was seen on the phone screen. In this, the board of Nashik Police and the youth sitting in the police uniform were seen talking.
Doubt over the money is not returned
During this conversation, the accused told that he too has been caught in this money laundering case. With this, the fraudsters threatened them and asked them not to talk to the family and acquaintances and kept them under monitoring continuously for 26 days. The fraudsters used to take their location and intimidate them every one hour. During this time, fraudsters transferred Rs 2 crore 52 lakh to their account from their bank account. For this, he was assured that after completion of the investigation, this amount will be returned to him on 14 April.
Madhya Pradesh’s biggest case
Mahant told that when his money did not return by April 15, he called the numbers of thugs. During this time all the numbers were found closed. This suspected him and gave a complaint to the police. The police have registered a case on the basis of the complaint and started investigating the case. According to police officials, this case of digital arrest is the biggest case in Madhya Pradesh. The police have seized all the bank accounts of the fraudsters. At the same time, efforts are being made to trace them on the basis of mobile number.
