Saiju Kurup’s ‘Harivarasanam’ to Release on Makar Sankranthi, January 15

Malayalam actor Saiju Kurup’s much-anticipated devotional film, ‘Harivarasanam’, is set to hit theaters on January 15, coinciding with the auspicious festival of Makar Sankranthi.

Director Rajesh Nair’s film, an emotional journey of faith, has generated significant buzz since its announcement.

Production house Panorama Studios confirmed the release date via Instagram, inviting audiences to witness the film in theaters. The film’s dubbing was completed in early October, as previously shared by director Rajesh Nair. In August, Nair had also given a sneak peek into the film’s progress by sharing a behind-the-scenes picture from the sets, showing the crew filming actors dressed as devotees preparing to ascend the revered 18 steps at Sabarimala.

The inclusion of popular Tamil comedian Yogi Babu in the cast has further heightened anticipation. Saiju Kurup himself welcomed Yogi Babu, emphasizing an ‘intense blend of emotion, devotion, and powerful storytelling.’ Directed by Rajesh Nair, known for films like ‘Salt Mango Tree’, ‘Harivarasanam’ is produced by Vinayaka Ajith. The film commenced shooting in July with a puja ceremony at Chitranjali studio in Thiruvananthapuram, where an elaborate set resembling the Sabarimala temple was constructed. The film features a strong technical team, with cinematography by Sajad Kaaku and music by Ranjin Raj, promising a visually and acoustically rich experience for devotees and film enthusiasts alike.
