An anti-drug marathon was held in Bhopal under the ‘Nashe se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0’ campaign. In this program organized by the Police Commissionerate, the officers appealed to the people to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy life. It was said to be a joint responsibility of the society and the police.
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [भारत]July 26 (ANI): Bhopal Commissionerate organized an anti-drug marathon under the ‘Run for Life – Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0’ campaign at TT Nagar Stadium on Sunday. In it, officials urged people to stay away from drugs and stressed its harmful effects on individuals and families.
Shared responsibility of society and police
Additional Commissioner of Police (Headquarters and Crime) Monica Shukla said it is the responsibility of both the society and the police to eliminate drug abuse and ensure a healthy future for people for generations.
“It is the responsibility of the society as well as the police that whether it is the new generation or the old, we have to eliminate all such drugs so that we can remain healthy,” Shukla told reporters.
‘Stay away from drugs is necessary 2.0’ campaign
Furthermore, Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Narcotics Wing, D Srinivas Verma said that the marathon was jointly organized by Madhya Pradesh Police and Social Justice Department under the banner of ‘Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0’ campaign.
Verma said, “Today, Madhya Pradesh Police and Social Justice Department jointly organized a marathon under the banner of ‘Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0’ campaign at TT Nagar Stadium. Through this we want to convey this message to every person of Madhya Pradesh: Stay away from drugs, enjoy life, and say no to drugs.”
Highlighting the serious consequences of drug addiction, he further said, “Addiction is a serious disease that ruins people and families, and makes life miserable.”
The marathon was organized to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage people to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. (ANI)
