RUM Stock Ticks Higher Overnight: Analyst Sees 94% Upside As $13B Anthropic Deal Sets Off AI Pivot

Texas Capital cited Quake AI’s expansion and Anthropic agreement as factors supporting stronger long-term revenue prospects.

  • Texas Capital started coverage of RUM Group with a $15 price target, citing its shift into AI infrastructure.
  • The company entered the sector by acquiring Northern Data and now operates its Quake AI business alongside its media platform.
  • Texas Capital pointed to RUM’s $13.7 billion, six-year Anthropic deal as a key AI growth driver.

RUM Group Inc.’s (RUM) stock gained overnight as Texas Capital initiated coverage, highlighting the company’s $13.7 billion Anthropic-linked AI services agreement as a major catalyst, saying the deal strengthens Quake AI’s offering and improves long-term revenue potential.

RUM stock edged up 0.8% overnight Tuesday after dropping more than 2% in regular session. The stock is headed for a September loss of more than 13%.

RUM’s AI Strategy Takes Center Stage

On Tuesday, Texas Capital launched coverage of RUM Group with a ‘Buy’ rating and a $15 price target, implying a 94% upside to the stock’s last closing price. The firm explained that RUM’s business is moving beyond its traditional video-platform roots and increasingly toward AI-related infrastructure and services.

RUM entered the AI infrastructure business in June by buying German cloud company Northern Data in an all-stock deal worth about $767 million. After the deal, the company changed its name to Rumble Group. It now operates two businesses: the Rumble media platform and Quake AI, its AI infrastructure unit.

The analyst said Rumble’s transformation could create a broader opportunity as demand for computing infrastructure and AI services grows. Quake AI has become an important part of that strategy.

RUM’s Anthropic Computing Deal Wins Backing

Texas Capital also highlighted RUM’s six-year agreement with Anthropic valued at $13.7 billion as a notable development for its AI business.

Anthropic plans to use computing capacity from a data center in Maysville, Georgia, which is still being built. The facility currently has 120 megawatts of power, with plans to increase it to 180 MW. Under the deal, Anthropic can also buy up to 51 million RUM shares for $0.01 each.

According to the analyst, the large multiyear commitment gives investors a clearer view of potential future revenue and provides outside validation for Quake AI’s technology and business model.

What RUM Retail Traders Are Saying

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock remained ‘bearish’.

A user said, “The Texas Capital rating of $15 is very low in my opinion, but it’s a hell of a lot higher than $7.80. Profit is going to be up dramatically every quarter for as far into the future as we have data to see right now.”

RUM stock has gained over 22% year-to-date.
