Rekha Gupta government of Delhi can bring a new policy to buy car-auto. The government may soon bring a new EV (electric vehicle) policy. A draft is being prepared for this policy. In which many important rules will be changed to buy cars and autos.
Under these rules, changes will now be made from 15 August 2025. Under which it will be necessary to convert CNG auto older than 10 years into electric auto. Also, all the garbage lifting vehicles will be gradually converted into an electric vehicle. The government’s focus in these new rules is in increasing the number of electric vehicles. Under these rules, if someone already has two cars, then the third car will have to buy only electric, if the registration is at the same address.
What important changes will be made
1. CNG Auto Rickshaw (L5N):
- From 15 August 2025, new CNG auto will not be registered.
- All old CNG auto permits will be converted into e-auto permit
- It will be necessary to convert CNG auto older than 10 years into electric auto
2. Two-wheelers:
- From 15 August 2025, there will be no registration of petrol, diesel or CNG two-wheelers. That is, you will not be able to buy any new petrol diesel or CNG two -wheelers in Delhi.
3. Three-wheel vehicles (LSN):
- From 15 August 2025, registration of diesel, petrol or CNG three-wheel vehicle will stop.
4. Four-wheel vehicle (N1):
- All garbage lifting vehicles will be gradually converted into electric vehicles
- By 31 December 2027, all such vehicles will be 100% electric.
5. City buses:
- Now only electric buses will be purchased
- BS-VI buses will be used only to walk outside the state
6. Private Cars:
- If someone already has two cars, then the third car will only have to buy electric, if the registration is at the same address.
Draft will be sent to the cabinet
To implement these rules, first this draft policy will be sent to all concerned sides. After their advice, suggestions and changes, it will be sent to the cabinet. After this, these rules will be implemented in the capital. After this, changes will be seen in buying car-auto from August 15. Also, many types of ban will be imposed on cars and autos. For example, according to the rule, registration of diesel, petrol or CNG three-wheel vehicle will be stopped from 15 August 2025. From 15 August 2025, there will be no registration of petrol, diesel or CNG two-wheelers. That is, you will not be able to buy any new petrol diesel or CNG two -wheelers in Delhi.
