Ruckus in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Waqf law, PDP MLA was taken out of House

The political storm is not taking the name of stopping the Waqf law. Meanwhile, once again there has been a lot of uproar in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Tuesday. The uproar began when the opposition parties demanded a discussion on the Waqf Act. The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was adjourned for 30 minutes after opposition from opposition parties. Opposition parties, including the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Awami Ittehad Party, introduced a stay motion to discuss the Waqf Act, which was later rejected by the Chairman under Rule 58 of the House.

PDP MLA Waheed Para was taken out of the assembly premises for opposing the decision not to discuss the Act. According to Rule 58, no bill under consideration in the court will be discussed. Many organizations and political parties including AIMIM and Congress have filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the implementation of the Waqf Act. Earlier, about 20 MLAs had moved a stay motion demanding a discussion on the Waqf Bill in the Assembly.

PDP leader told unfortunate

Talking to reporters outside the assembly, PDP leader Waheed Para called it “unfortunate”. He said, ‘It is unfortunate that Jammu and Kashmir is a Muslim dominated area, if there is a Muslim Chief Minister in the whole of India, then it is in Jammu and Kashmir. 24 crore Muslims from all over the country are watching this.

Appealing to all the MLAs to support the proposal brought by the PDP, he said, “There are 60 MLAs here, if even out of those 60 they do not support the proposal brought by us against the Waqf Act, then I think history will judge us forever.” Describing the Waqf Act against the religious beliefs and sentiments of Muslims, Para targeted Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who introduced the Bill to “Red Carpet Welcome” of Union Minority Minister Kiren Rijiju, who introduced the Bill.

Democracy is being murdered- BJP MLA

At the same time, MLA Vikram Randhawa said, ‘This is unfortunate, democracy is being killed here. They are not allowing the proceedings of the House. He did not even let the question time run yesterday. The National Conference MLAs came to the Well of the House against their own speaker. He started a ruckus. The people of PDP made him realize that you are fighting for Waqf and touring Tulip Garden. Therefore, the important time of the House is being wasted in his quarrel.
