Indian bike company Royal Enfield is now preparing to expand its business further. The company is planning to set up a new manufacturing plant in Tada (Tirupati) area of Andhra Pradesh. The company is preparing to make a big investment of about Rs 2,500 crore for this new greenfield project. This step is being taken keeping in mind the future demand of the company and the market situation.
According to the information, the company is in the process of acquiring land for this new plant. However, this project is yet to get the approval of the company’s board. After getting approval, this project will be completed in different phases. The aim of the company is to meet the increasing demand in the coming time and further strengthen its production capacity.
The company makes this many bikes every year
At present the annual production capacity of the company is about 14.6 lakh motorcycles and this capacity is almost completely utilized. This is the reason why the company is now working rapidly on expansion. Earlier in February 2026, the company had announced to invest Rs 958 crore for the expansion of Cheyyar plant in Tamil Nadu. After this expansion, the total production capacity of the company will increase to about 20 lakh units annually.

Talking about this plan, B Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Enfield, said that the company always tries to provide better products by connecting with its customers. He told that the company already has four modern manufacturing plants in Tamil Nadu, whose total capacity can reach about 20 lakh units annually.
The company became stronger in foreign countries also
Royal Enfield is not limited to India only but has now become a global brand. Apart from India, the company has CKD facilities in countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Brazil, Thailand, Argentina and Colombia. The company does its business in more than 80 countries of the world and is running more than 3,200 stores including India. The financial year 2025-26 was very good for the company. Royal Enfield crossed the 10 lakh motorcycle sales mark for the second consecutive year and delivered more than 12 lakh units.
