Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India suffered a shameful defeat against New Zealand. Now the Indian team has to go to Australia to play the next test series where Team India canceled the practice match itself. Captain Rohit Sharma has given the reason for canceling this match. Rohit Sharma says that instead of a practice match, Team India has planned a special kind of practice in which conditions will be created exactly like the match and all the players will get more opportunities.
How will Team India practice?
Rohit Sharma said on the canceled practice match in Australia, ‘Instead of a practice match, we are planning a match-like practice with India A. In this practice, batsmen will be able to spend maximum time on the pitch. Bowlers will be able to bowl as much as possible. We are more comfortable in this kind of practice rather than practice.
Will there be loss by not playing practice matches?
However, this strategy of Rohit Sharma and company can also harm the team. Because if there was a practice match against India A, the players would have entered with the same mentality. If the batsmen knew that they would be out, they would have to go out. But the kind of practice that Rohit is talking about, the players will remain mentally relaxed. Big players of Team India had not participated in the Duleep Trophy even before the Test series against New Zealand. He only practiced and then its effect was seen in the test series. Team India lost that series 0-3.
