Rohit Chandel’s arrest under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has shocked the fans and the TV industry. The actor, known for his roles in Pandya Store and Kashibai Bajirao Ballal, was arrested after a 16-year-old co-actor accused him of stalking, repeatedly calling, harassing and physically assaulting her. While the investigation is ongoing and Chandel has been sent to judicial custody, his current show Sairaab’s co-star Madirakshi Mundle has now reacted publicly to the controversy. In a social media post, the actress urged people not to rush to judgment and called for hearing both sides before drawing conclusions.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Madirakshi Mundle shared a message expressing support for her co-star while talking about the importance of allowing the legal process to take its time. She wrote, “I believe it’s important to hear both sides of the story before forming an opinion. Right now, we’re only seeing one perspective.” She added that since one side has a much bigger public platform, it becomes more important to understand both sides before drawing conclusions.
The actress further added, “Justice begins when every side is heard.” Tagging Rohit Chandel in the post, she also wrote, “Truth deserves patience,” along with the message, “I am with you.”

Her statement comes amid serious allegations against the actor and an ongoing police investigation. According to Mumbai Police, was arrested by the Ghatkopar Police on July 10 after a 16-year-old girl accused him of stalking, repeatedly contacting her despite being blocked, harassing her and physically assaulting her.
The case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act along with relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following his arrest, Chandel was produced before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody. In a fresh update, a senior officer from Ghatkopar Police Station stated that Rohit Chandel admitted to stalking the minor complainant during questioning.

Speaking to The Times of India, Senior Police Inspector Vitthal Laxman Aardekar said, “He was stalking. He is in judicial custody. It depends on the court how long it will be for. Rohit didn’t deny it. He confessed that he used to go to meet her.” The officer further said that the complainant is a minor and that both were co-actors. According to the police, the girl alleged that Chandel repeatedly pressured her, travelled from Dahisar to Ghatkopar to meet her, and continued calling her despite being blocked.
As per the complaint filed by the 16-year-old, the actor allegedly contacted her repeatedly through different phone numbers after she blocked him. She further claimed that on July 5, Rohit confronted her near her residential building, followed her, initiated an argument, verbally abused her and physically assaulted her by hitting her.
