Jharkhand, a state rich in water and forests, is not only rich in its natural minerals, but Jharkhand is also full of millionaire candidates. Who says Jharkhand is a poor state? A recently released report presents the list of rich leaders of a poor state. The report released by the Association for Democratic Reform (ADR) shows that 235 candidates in the first phase of elections for 43 seats in Jharkhand are crorepatis.
Voting will be held for 43 assembly seats in Jharkhand on November 13. A total of 683 candidates have contested for the first phase. At the same time, according to the report released after the affidavit, out of 682 candidates, 235 candidates are crorepatis, i.e. 34% candidates are crorepatis.
How many candidates of which party are millionaires?
In this list, 16 out of 17 candidates of Congress Party i.e. 94% are crorepatis, whereas 30 out of 36 candidates of Bharatiya Janata Party are crorepatis, i.e. about 83% of the candidates in the first phase are crorepatis. In Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, 17 out of 23 candidates are crorepatis, i.e. 78%.
Four out of five candidates of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party RJD are crorepatis, about 80% of the candidates are crorepatis. Both the candidates of Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) are crorepatis, that is, 100% crorepati candidates are in the electoral arena. Two out of four candidates of AJSU Party are crorepatis, that is, 50% of the candidates are crorepatis.
Assets more than Rs 5 crore
Among these crorepati candidates, 63 candidates i.e. 9.24% have assets worth more than Rs 5 crore. At the same time, 78 candidates have assets ranging from Rs 2 crore to Rs 5 crore, i.e. about 11.44% of the candidates. The number of candidates having assets between Rs 50 lakh to Rs 2 crore is 198, i.e. approximately (29.03%).
Who is the richest candidate?
Talking about the richest candidate, Kandomani Bhumij is a candidate from Potka Assembly seat and his total assets (including movable and immovable assets) are Rs 80 crore. Congress party’s Daltonganj candidate KN Tripathi is at second place, his total assets are Rs 70.91 crore. Ayush Ranjan (Independent) candidate for Ranchi Assembly seat has total assets of Rs 70.77 crore.
Talking about the candidate with the least assets, Sushil Toppo is from Sisai Assembly seat. Whose assets are only Rs 7 thousand. At the same time, the total assets of Jamshedpur East candidate Ajoy Kumar is only Rs 10 thousand.
How many educated candidates?
Among the candidates of the first phase, 49 percent are undergraduates and 308 candidates i.e. about 45 percent have studied from class 5th to 12th. While 6 candidates have done Diploma. 18 candidates are literate and two candidates are illiterate, about 51 percent candidates have the qualification of graduation or above.
