The Indian women’s cricket team did not get much success this time on the England tour. First there was defeat in the T20 series and then it was eliminated in the first round of T20 World Cup 2026 itself. But in the women’s Test match being played for the first time at Lord’s, the Indian team has shown a strong performance and young fast bowler Kranti Gaur left the biggest impression. True to his name, 22 year old pacer Gaur bowled revolutionary bowling and took 5 wickets. In this way, Kranti became the first woman bowler to take 5 wickets in an innings of a Test match at Lord’s.

On the first day of the Lord’s Test match, Team India’s innings was reduced to 285 runs, while England had scored 22 runs after losing 1 wicket. This wicket was taken by right arm fast bowler Kranti. But hardly anyone would have guessed that the revolution would wreak havoc on England on the second day of the match. In the first session of the day itself, Team India took 3 wickets of England, out of which Kranti took 2 wickets.

After this, captain Nate Siver-Brunt and wicketkeeper Amy Jones together took charge of the innings and made a strong partnership of 84 runs. While Jones scored a half-century, the captain scored 44 runs. This partnership took England to 131 runs with a score of 47/4. It was here that spinner Sneh Rana broke the partnership and then England could not recover its innings. The next 5 wickets fell for just 40 runs, out of which Kranti again took 2 wickets. As soon as Kranti returned Lauren Bell to the pavilion, he completed 5 wickets in this innings and with this he created history.
