Pilot has his own influence in the politics of Rajasthan. During the last 5 years of Congress rule, Sachin Pilot has been in the news continuously due to his rebellious attitude in the party. Many times there was talk of his rebelling against the party and forming a new party. At present, he is once again contesting elections from Tonk assembly seat. Being a Gurjar, Pilot holds an important place in the Gurjar politics of the state. Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Ajit Singh Mehta against Pilot.
There was a time when Sachin Pilot’s father Rajesh Pilot had a distinct identity not only in Rajasthan but also in central politics. But he lost his life in an accident. Later his son Sachin Pilot entered politics at an early age. Sachin Pilot was elected to the Lok Sabha twice and also became an MLA once. He became the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan in the year 2018, but later due to political conflicts he had to leave this post. Pilot has been a minister at the Center in Manmohan Singh’s government. In 2004, he became the youngest leader in the country to become an MP at the age of 26.
Defeated in Ajmer in 2014 elections
Sachin Pilot was born on September 7, 1977 in Saharanpur, UP. In the Lok Sabha elections held in May 2004, Sachin contested the Dausa parliamentary seat for the first time and won. Then in the 2009 elections he became MP from Ajmer. During the second term of Manmohan Singh government, he was the Union Minister for Information and Communication Technology (Independent Charge) from 28 October 2012 to 17 May 2014. However, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he lost to BJP candidate Savarlal Jat from Ajmer seat.
Before the assembly elections in Rajasthan in 2018, he was appointed President of the Congress State Committee. Then after winning the elections, Ashok became the Deputy Chief Minister in the Gehlot government. But due to differences with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, he had to lose the post of Deputy Chief Minister as well as State President of the party on July 14, 2020.
How much property does the pilot have?
Sachin Pilot had a love marriage with Sara Abdullah, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, in 2004. The pilot couple also has two children (Aaran and Vihaan). His sister’s name is Sarika Pilot. However, in his affidavit filed in the elections this year, he told that he is divorced and Sara is no longer his wife.

While filing nomination for Tonk seat, Sachin Pilot in his affidavit said that he is the owner of property worth Rs 7.12 crore. However, in 2018 he had assets worth Rs 6 crore 43 lakh 39 thousand. According to the affidavit, he has Rs 2.95 lakh in cash. Whereas his two sons Aran and Vihaan Pilot have a total of Rs 7 lakh. He says that he does not have any car.
