Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station: If you are going to catch a train from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, Delhi in the coming days, then it is important for you to know this update before leaving home. Due to the ongoing major redevelopment project at the station, the entry and exit gates towards Sarai Kale Khan have been temporarily closed. In such a situation, many travelers may face problems by reaching the old route. Railways says that the construction work has been expedited to equip the station with modern facilities. For this reason, this change has been implemented keeping in mind the safety of passengers.
Now which way will be the entry into the station?
Passengers who earlier entered the station premises directly from Sarai Kale Khan side will now have to take the new route. Railways has connected the foot overbridge (FOB) of Namo Bharat station with the foot overbridge of Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station for passengers. Through this new connection, passengers can directly reach the railway station from Gate No. 1 and 2 of Namo Bharat Station. According to the Railways, it will take about five minutes to reach on foot between the two stations.
End of hassle of crossing the road
The biggest advantage of this change is that passengers will no longer need to go on the busy road to reach the station. The new foot overbridge directly connects the two campuses, making the interchange easier and safer than before. This hi-tech foot overbridge, about 300 meters long, has been specially designed to facilitate the movement of passengers.
What work is going on at the station?
Many important construction works are being carried out as part of the redevelopment of Nizamuddin station. This includes construction of new stairs, installation of escalators and lifts, modernization of booking offices, improved toilets for passengers and expansion of the deck of the foot overbridge. Railways says that after the completion of these works, passengers will get more modern and convenient facilities at the station than before.

If your train is from Hazrat Nizamuddin station and you are coming from Sarai Kale Khan side, then leave with extra time and use the new foot overbridge route. This will avoid any inconvenience in reaching the station and your journey will also be easier.
