Team’s fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has given the reason behind not allowing Krunal Pandya to bowl. Bhuvneshwar Kumar said that not giving bowling to Krunal Pandya was a strategy. Bhuvneshwar told that the pitch was not helping the spin bowlers so he was not given bowling.
Why was Krunal Pandya not given bowling?
After the match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar explained the reason for not giving bowling to Krunal Pandya. Bhuvi said, ‘Not giving bowling to Krunal Pandya was a strategic decision. If you look at the match, the fast bowlers were getting help on the pitch. We did not want the spinners to be given a chance just because they are playing. If there was help, he would definitely have been given bowling.
Then why was Suyash given bowling?
The question is that if the spinners were not getting help on the pitch then why was Suyyash Sharma given the bowling? Why was he made to bowl 3.5 overs and this player also gave away 44 runs. If Suyyash could bowl on this pitch, then Krunal Pandya would also get overs. The interesting thing is that Krunal has bowled very well this season. Krunal has taken 9 wickets in 9 matches this season and his economy rate is only 8.8 runs per over. Krunal is also different from other spinners. He also throws bouncers to surprise.
