Ravi Teja’s Remuneration Shocks Tollywood?

Ravi Teja is reportedly seeking a remuneration of around Rs 40 crore for his next project, marking a significant jump in his asking price.

The demand comes after the remarkable success of Irumudi, which has considerably strengthened his position in the market.

The actor’s latest remuneration expectations reflect the commercial impact of the film and the value he now commands.

Before Irumudi, Ravi Teja’s highest overall remuneration had reportedly touched around Rs 25 crore.

For Irumudi, however, he is said to have worked for a remuneration of approximately Rs 8 crore, with the Nizam theatrical rights valued at another Rs 7 crore. This effectively put the overall deal at around Rs 15 crore at the time of the film’s release.

The film’s strong performance at the box office dramatically changed the equation.

Following its success, the Nizam rights reportedly generated more than Rs 50 crore, giving Ravi Teja a substantial upside from the territory-based arrangement.

The impressive returns have since become a key reference point in discussions surrounding his market value.

Now, the reported Rs 40 crore remuneration demand is being viewed in the context of that success.

To explain in detail, his remuneration is rounded off to Rs 40 crore, with Rs 20 crore as outright remuneration and the Nizam rights valued at Rs 20 crore.

This way, if Ravi Teja is successful enough in selling the Nizam rights to someone else for more than Rs 20 crore, or retains them for himself and earns as much as he did with Irumudi, his total take-home will be much higher than Rs 40 crore.

At the same time, if he keeps the Nizam rights for himself and the film does not perform up to the Rs 20 crore valuation in Naizam, his total take-home will be lower than Rs 40 crore.

The performance of the Nizam rights has emerged as a major bargaining point, with the actor’s team seemingly pointing to the territory’s exceptional returns as evidence of his increased commercial value.
