A behind-the-scenes documentary on Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is reportedly being planned as a full theatrical feature for late 2026, with cast interviews and making footage expected to be saved for that release.
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar BTS Documentary: After the huge success of Aditya Dhar’s spy films, the makers now seem ready to try something new. Reports say they are planning a full-length behind-the-scenes film based on the making of ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’.
This special film may first come to theatres in the last part of 2026 and later move to OTT. If this happens, it will be a very unusual step for the Indian film world because making videos of this kind are usually shown only in small parts online, not as a full movie release. Recent reports say the team wants to turn even the film’s making into a big event for audiences.
The report also says the cast and director are staying away from normal media interviews for now. That includes Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, and Aditya Dhar. The reason, according to these reports, is that their first full interviews are being saved for this behind-the-scenes film.
It is also being said that the makers do not want BTS video clips to come out on social media before the feature is released. For some time now, Aditya Dhar has been thanking members of his team online, but mostly through photos and not video.
The Sequel still doing Massive Business
The excitement around this reported plan is also coming because the Dhurandhar films have done extraordinary box office business. The first film, Dhurandhar from 2025, had already become a major hit. The second part, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ from 2026, pushed things even further.
Hindustan Times reported earlier this month that the film became the first Bollywood movie to cross ₹1000 crore at the Indian box office. More recent box office tracking reports now put its domestic total above ₹1,100 crore net as of April 21, 2026, while its worldwide total has gone much higher. That is why the makers seem confident that even a film about the making of the franchise can pull audience interest.
The franchise has also brought a lot of attention to its large cast. The films feature names like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Danish Pandor. With the second film still running strongly in theatres, the makers appear to be trying to extend the excitement around the franchise in a fresh way.
