The trailer of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayanam’ has been postponed for now. The makers said that after the global distribution deal with Sony Pictures, the trailer will now be released simultaneously across the world.
The trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s mega budget film ‘Ramayanam’ was scheduled to be released on July 24, but the makers postponed it a few hours before the release. There is no technical or sensor problem behind this decision, but a big international deal. Producer Namit Malhotra said that a partnership has been signed with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the global distribution of the film. For this reason, the trailer will now be launched simultaneously all over the world. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash starrer, this film is being counted among the most ambitious films of Indian cinema.
Why was the trailer of Ramayanam postponed?
The four-minute trailer of ‘Ramayanam’ was scheduled to be released on the morning of July 24. Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, director Nitish Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra also did a special panel of the film at San Diego Comic Con. However, a few hours before the trailer release, Namit Malhotra announced the postponement of its release on social media. He wrote, “Today is a very special moment for our ‘Ramayanam’. My dream of taking ‘Ramayanam’ to the whole world has now come true with our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. That is why we will now launch our trailer simultaneously across the world at a later date.”

What are the makers planning for the release of ‘Ramayanam’?
Namit Malhotra further wrote, “It will be a proud moment in the history of Indian cinema of more than 100 years, when ‘Ramayanam’ will be released all over the world like a big Hollywood film. This will give the people of the world an opportunity to know our culture and our stories with new pride and enthusiasm. At the end of the post, Namit wrote, “I thank all the fans and believers of ‘Ramayanam’ who made this possible. The youth of our country are our future. Let us all together do our best to protect their future.”
Now when will the trailer of ‘Ramayanam’ be released?
At present, the makers have not announced the new release date of the trailer. Namit Malhotra has only clarified that the trailer will now be released simultaneously across the world as a global launch. That means now Indian and international audiences will get a chance to watch the trailer at the same time. The new date is expected to be announced soon.

What is the budget of ‘Ramayanam’ and who are in the star cast?
‘Ramayanam’ being made under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari is being counted among the most expensive films of Indian cinema. According to media reports, the total budget of this film being made in two parts is said to be around Rs 4000 crore. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Mata Sita and Yash is playing the role of Ravana. Apart from these, many big actors including Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor will be seen in important roles.
When will ‘Ramayanam’ be released?
‘Ramayanam’ will be released in two parts. According to the makers, its first part will be released in theaters in November. The film is being prepared as the biggest mythological franchise of Indian cinema and there are plans to release it on a large scale worldwide. The second part will hit theaters on Diwali 2027.
