This mathematical and poetic arrangement was made so that no alteration or adulteration could be made in the original text of Ramayana in ancient times. If any one stanza were removed, this wonderful combination would have been broken.

24 letters of Gayatri Mantra

‘Om Bhurbhuvah Swah Tatsaviturvarenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat’. This is the mantra of Vedamata Gayatri. There are 24 letters in it.

Gayatri Mantra is the essence of Vedas

The 24 letters of Gayatri Mantra are divided into three groups of eight letters each, so it is said that these three represent the essence of the Vedas. First 8 letters Rigveda, Next 8 letters Yajurveda and The last 8 letters represent Samveda. Studying Ramayana is considered equivalent to chanting Gayatri Mantra and reciting the four Vedas.
