Ramayan Story: Ramayana is a sacred Hindu scripture. The life of Lord Shri Ram and his exploits have been described in detail in Ramayana. According to the legend, once Ravana went to Mount Kailash to meet Lord Shiva. There his eyes fell on Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva. Seeing Nandi he started laughing loudly. Ravana told Nandi that your appearance looks like that of a monkey. Nandi became angry at Ravana’s ridicule and cursed Ravana in return for his insult.
While scolding Ravana, Nandi ji said that you have ridiculed me by calling him a monkey. One day the monkey will become the reason for the destruction of you and your Lanka. Later, when Ravana abducted Mother Sita and took her to Lanka, Hanuman ji reached Lanka in search of Mother Janaki, where he destroyed the entire Ashok Vatika.

Then, on the orders of Ravana, when Meghnad brought Hanuman ji as captive, Bajrangbali’s tail was set on fire. After this, Hanuman ji burnt Ravana’s golden Lanka with his burning tail. Later Ravana died in the war between Ravana and Shri Ram. Due to the influence of Nandi’s curse, Lanka was destroyed by Hanuman ji in the monkey form. Not only this, monkeys were also involved in Ravana’s destruction i.e. war.
