In this series, Ramandeep will get a chance to debut in international cricket. During an interview, he described any other player as his idol except Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

In one of his interviews, the middle-order batsman considered West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell as his idol, ignoring Indian team captain Rohit Sharma and former captains Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

He said, “As an all-rounder, I consider Andre Russell as my role model. I want to make an impact in my game like him. When I come to the crease, the opposition team should be afraid of me that I can change the course of the match. I want to leave a similar impact while playing for India.” Actually Raman and Andre Russell play for the same team Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL.

Ramandeep’s bat shines in IPL

If we talk about Ramandeep’s performance, he has made a lot of noise with his bat in the IPL. He has scored runs at a strike rate of 201.61 while playing for KKR in IPL 2024. Earlier, Ramandeep used to play for Mumbai Indians in which he had a strike rate of 112.50.

Recently, Raman has also played the Emerging Asia Cup in which he played an inning of 64 runs while playing for Afghanistan.
