Union Minister Amit Shah announced in Gujarat that a grand temple of Sita Mata will soon be built in Mithila, which will give the message of women power to the world. He appreciated the people of Mithilanchal and Bihar on Sunday for contributing to the development of Gujarat. He said that this region has a history of empowering democracy and philosophy since ancient times.
Amit Shah addressed the ‘Eternal Mithila Festival 2025’ program in Gandhinagar on Sunday. During this, he promised that a grand temple of Sita Mata will be built. The Union Minister said that when he went to Bihar during the Lok Sabha elections, he said that Ram temple has been built, now it is the turn to build a grand temple of Sita Mata.

Amit Shah praised the people of Mithilanchal and Bihar
Praising the people of Mithilanchal and Bihar settled in Gujarat, he said that these people have contributed significantly to the development of Gujarat. Shah said that the land of Mithila has been the land of intellectuals since the time of Ramayana and Mahabharata, where the ancient Videha empire is the mother of democracy.
‘Mithilanchal proved to be a strong force of democracy’
In his address, Shah said that Mahatma Buddha had said many times that as long as the people of Videha stay together together, no one can beat them. He said that Mithilanchal proved to be a strong force of democracy, which continued to give his message to the whole country for years. The Union Minister said that Mithilanchal has also been a land of scripture. He said that four of the six major darshans of India have come from Mithilanchal.
Further, Amit Shah said that the tradition of solution with dialogue has developed from the land of Mithila. The people of Bihar, especially Mithila people, have a very big and important contribution in the development of Gujarat. The eternal Mithila Bhavan was inaugurated in Shahne Gandhinagar and a grand statue of Mahakavi Vidyapati Ji was also unveiled. He said that this building will become an important center of the culture and tradition of Mithila, illuminated by the knowledge and strength of Mata Sita, Vidushi Bharti, Gargi and Maitreyi.
