Ram Temple Donation Theft: Security Personnel Stationed Around Counting Room Grilled Ahead Of New SIT Probe

Pramod Dubey, Ayodhya: Following the Supreme Court’s directive, a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the Ram Temple donation theft case.

This team is expected to arrive in Ayodhya any time and begin investigation. The team includes Lucknow Range IG Kiran S, Ayodhya DIG Somen Verma, and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Gaurav Grover.

Meanwhile, even before the government’s move, tensions have risen within the Ram Temple complex. Senior police officers are questioning police and other security personnel and officers who were deployed during the donation theft. Security personnel stationed around the counting room are at the centre of this investigation, and security personnel stationed at other points within the complex are also being questioned.

This process began a few days ago. In addition to police security personnel, security personnel from private agencies are also under investigation. Security personnel from these agencies who were deployed in or around the counting room in June and July are under investigation. Additionally, the currently deployed personnel are being questioned about their work.

This intensive investigation has created a stir within the campus. Jagran sources indicate that they have been instructed to gather information on the status quo and the responsibilities of security personnel. The new SIT investigation is expected to re-examine some of the suspects.

Meanwhile, CO Ashutosh Tiwari is investigating the theft case. He is also calling and questioning all suspects who have any contact with the accused. While security officials are unwilling to comment officially on this matter, it is certain that this platform is being prepared before the new SIT begins its investigation.
