‘Have faith in the temple committee and the government’
Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [भारत]July 10 (ANI): Former litigant in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case Iqbal Ansari on Friday appealed to people across the country to maintain faith in the Ram Temple, the temple committee and the government amid the alleged theft of donations from the Ram Temple. He said that the case is being investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and those responsible have already been arrested.
Speaking to ANI, Ansari said that Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, is peaceful and welcomes people of all religions. Ansari told ANI, “Whatever has happened in connection with the Ram temple is being investigated by the SIT, and the government has also played a positive role. Law and order are well maintained. Those who have done wrong have been arrested. We appeal to people across the country and the world that the Ram temple is a matter of faith, and Lord Ram is enshrined there. The people responsible have been caught. People should have faith in the temple committee, trust the government, and trust the chief minister.” “The investigation is being conducted properly.”
He said the truth regarding the alleged wrongdoings would emerge through investigation. He said, “Whatever wrong has happened with respect to the deity is coming to light, and the truth is coming out. The people of the country should maintain the same faith in Lord Ram that they have always had. Lord Ram’s city Ayodhya belongs to everyone. We also have faith, we also give our respect, and we believe in God. Whatever has happened will be revealed to everyone. This is Lord Ram’s city.”
Responding to questions on the issue of alleged fake receipts related to the case, Ansari said that the matter is under investigation and expressed confidence that the people involved will be identified. He said, “This is a matter of investigation. Whoever has done whatever wrong, God himself is watching. The investigators will eventually reach out to everyone involved. Nothing will be hidden. This is the land of Gods and Goddesses. Wherever the accused are, the police will reach them. We have faith in the government, and people across the country and the world have faith in Lord Ram. Those responsible will be caught. Whatever wrong they have done, they will be arrested.”
When asked about the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer, Ansari said that everyone has faith in God and he does not oppose anyone. He said, “Everyone is a devotee of God. Be it humans or animals, everyone has faith in God. We do not oppose anyone. Whoever lives in the city of Lord Ram should live with honesty and cleanliness.”
‘Tremendous development took place in Ayodhya’
Comparing today’s Ayodhya with the past, Ansari said the city has seen extensive development and better infrastructure, with employment opportunities also created. He said, “Ayodhya is home to the temple of Lord Ram and many other deities. There has been tremendous development here, and many people have got employment. It is because of the efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Parks, temples, roads–everything is available here. Law and order is also good. Those who did wrong in the Lord Ram temple are now in jail.”
Regarding questions on damaged roads and development works, Ansari said that due to better infrastructure, now visitors can reach Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi without any delay. He said, “There is an airport and a railway station here–all these are the contribution of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The development of Ayodhya is his achievement.”
When asked whether Mathura should also be developed after Ayodhya, Ansari said that development should happen everywhere. Ansari said, “As chief minister, he can bring development everywhere. Wherever development is done, it will be beneficial. Development should happen everywhere, and people need both development and employment.” (ANI)
