Ram Mandir Donation Theft: Faizabad Bar Association has filed a complaint against Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and others in the alleged embezzlement of offerings of Ayodhya Ram Temple.
The alleged embezzlement case of offerings in Ayodhya’s Ram temple has now taken a new turn. Faizabad Bar Association on Thursday submitted a written complaint against former temple trust general secretary Champat Rai, former trustee Anil Mishra, temple administrators Gopal Rao and Krishna Dev and demanded registration of FIR. During this, a large number of lawyers marched from Ayodhya district court to Ram Janmabhoomi police station. The police tried to stop them by barricading, but the protesters moved ahead. This development has brought the matter into greater focus.
Bar association’s complaint, demand for FIR intensified
Faizabad Bar Association President Kalika Sharan Mishra said that a written complaint against four people has been submitted to the police. He said that the delegation has gone to get a copy of the complaint and if the copy is not given then the agitation will continue. The Bar Association says that if the police do not take action then legal action will be taken on its own under the provisions of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Earlier on June 29, the association had also announced that no lawyer would represent the accused in the alleged offerings embezzlement case.

Investigation continues, police have already interrogated
The investigation into the alleged offering theft case is progressing steadily. According to reports, Uttar Pradesh Police recently interrogated Champat Rai for about three hours. The investigating agencies are investigating the case on the basis of complaints and available documents. At present, the police has confirmed that the complaint has been received and has assured appropriate action. However, in this case no court has yet accepted the allegations as proven and the investigation is ongoing. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes will be on the police action in the coming days and the trust meeting to be held on July 6.
