Amid the ongoing row over theft of offerings from the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is set to convene a second meeting within a month on July 22. The meeting of all trustees will be held at Mani Ram Das Chhavni in Ayodhya on July 22, starting at 4 PM.
The trust has issued an official notice about the meeting, and all members are required to attend.
Krishna Mohan, who was appointed interim general secretary of the trust at the last meeting, released the agenda and circular for the July 22 meeting on Sunday.
The circular stated that the meeting would discuss the upcoming final report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Another special meeting of the Trust has also been scheduled for the same day, July 22, at 3 PM.
Key agenda
The meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on July 22 will decide on the reorganisation of its various committees and functioning. Due to Champat Rai and Anil Mishra’s ouster, the shortage of members will also be considered.
The new structure and responsibilities of the Trust’s committees, each charged with different tasks, will be discussed. Necessary changes may also be made if required.
CEO Appointment: The meeting, chaired by Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, President of the Trust, will deliberate on the appointment of the temple trust’s first Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Police investigation into offering theft enters crucial stage
The investigation into the theft of donations from the Ram Temple has entered a crucial phase. Police extensively interrogated the main accused, Ramshankar Yadav alias “Tinnu,” and his nephew, Manish Yadav, during their 39-hour custody remand. Yadav reportedly confessed his involvement in the crime.
Police obtained a 39-hour remand from the court, following which both accused were taken into custody at around 8 AM on Saturday. A total of eight people have been arrested in this case so far.
