Ram Mandir: 70 incidents of donation embezzlement captured in CCTV, now the biggest revelation is going to happen. Sit Set To Submit Final Report On Ram Mandir Donation Probe To Up Govt.

Ram Mandir Donation Scam: The SIT investigation investigating the donation scam in Ayodhya Ram Temple has been completed. The team can submit its final report to the UP government in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): The Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate the alleged irregularities in the donation amount in Ayodhya Ram temple can submit its final report to the Uttar Pradesh government in the next 24 to 48 hours. On Wednesday, sources said that this report can be submitted by Thursday or Friday. Sources also say that now the time of SIT investigation will not be extended further. The Uttar Pradesh government had given an extension of 15 days to the SIT on July 1.

70 suspicious incidents captured in CCTV of Ram temple

This extension was given so that the SIT could expand the scope of its investigation and investigate every aspect of the case in depth. The initial report of the SIT had revealed that prima facie, around 70 suspicious incidents were captured on CCTV between April 27 and June 5, 2026. In CCTV footage, counting staff were seen hiding bundles of cash.

Big revelation in SIT report

  • Several flaws were pointed out in the initial report. It was told that there was no frisking at entry and exit, there was no control over the personal belongings of the employees and the cash from several donation boxes was counted together. Due to these reasons this crime became possible.
  • The report also states that before investigation, around Rs 78.94 lakh was recovered from some employees. Apart from this, another Rs 2.25 lakh is alleged to have been recovered from the bathroom attached to the counting room on June 4, 2026. The report also said there was no initial evidence to support claims on social media about missing silver bricks or other precious offerings.

All the accused of stealing donations are in jail

Meanwhile, an Ayodhya court on Monday extended by 14 days the judicial custody of all eight accused in the Ram temple donation embezzlement case. The appearance of the accused was held through video conferencing and now they have to appear again on July 27.

Supreme Court had issued notice to Yogi government

  • The Supreme Court had also on Monday issued notices to the Centre, Uttar Pradesh government and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on petitions seeking an independent, court-monitored investigation into the alleged misuse of donations at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
  • A bench of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohan directed the SIT constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government to submit a status report, including details of its composition. The matter will be considered again next Monday
  • Following the allegations, the resignations of several top officials of the Trust were accepted, including the then Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and Trust members Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao.
