Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [भारत]July 6 (ANI): Ahead of the meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to be held at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex on Monday, invitations have been sent to all 14 trustees. This information was given by Gopal Rao, assistant to the temple administration.
Speaking to ANI, Rao said that the meeting will be held in the temple premises. He said, “There will be a trust meeting in the temple premises today. Invitations have been sent to all 14 trustees. I hope everyone has been invited.”
Earlier, Rao had said, “The meeting will be held inside the temple premises. Mahant Nritya Gopal Das ji will preside over it.”
Donation controversy and resignation of trustees
There are 14 trustees in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which includes Trust President Nritya Gopal Das, Vasudevanand Saraswati, Vishwaprasannatirtha, Parmanand Giri, Treasurer Govind Dev Giri, Krishna Mohan, Dinendra Das, Prashant Lokhande, Sanjay Prasad, Shashank Tripathi, Nripendra Mishra and K. Parasaran is involved. Trustees Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have already resigned from the Trust, taking moral responsibility for the alleged misuse of temple donations.
The meeting is taking place amid the ongoing controversy over alleged embezzlement of temple donations, as the issue has sparked a sharp political confrontation with opposition parties demanding a probe while the BJP accusing him of targeting Hindu faith.
Temple administration assistant Gopal Rao said the meeting will be held at 3 pm inside the temple premises and all members have been informed. “The trust meeting will be held at 3 pm inside the temple premises. Everyone has been informed; we expect everyone to attend,” he said.
Meanwhile, ahead of the important meeting of the temple trust, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust trustee Krishna Mohan and VHP central secretary Rajendra Singh ‘Pankaj’ reached Vaidehi Bhawan in Ayodhya, where Govind Devagiri Maharaj is staying.
Police engaged in investigation
On the other hand, the investigation into alleged donation theft has progressed. Police sources said that Ayodhya police have obtained court permission to interrogate five of the eight accused lodged in jail. Accused Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Ram Shankar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey and Manish Yadav will be interrogated inside the jail and their statements will be formally recorded.
Sant Mandal in support of Champat Rai
Ayodhya Sant Mandal has also extended its support to Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and has urged the Trust not to accept his resignation. (ANI)
