Ram Gopal Varma Takes Yet Another Dig At Toxic Star Yash, Mentions Rajinikanth In New Post; Internet Reacts

Yash and Geetu Mohandas’ ambitious project Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups finally arrived in theatres on August 26, but things did not pan out well for the actioner. While it raked in massive numbers at the box office, it opened to mixed reviews from both critics and moviegoers. Even fans openly criticised the Yash-starrer, which also features a strong female ensemble cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi. Amid the negative reviews, however, Kannada superstars Rishab Shetty and Kiccha Sudeep have come out in its support. Ram Gopal Varma, on the other hand, has been busy taking subtle jibes at Yash and his film.

Once again grabbing major eyeballs online,   posted a cryptic note on his X handle. He even dragged superstar Rajinikanth into the one-sided feud. Yash’s fans couldn’t handle the fresh jibe and slammed RGV for allegedly mocking their favourite star.

Purportedly taking a jibe at Yash, the Satya filmmaker wrote, “When Hitler made it in Germany, easily took over Poland, he started believing that he has become the biggest superstar ever and rocket-launched one omega hit in a desire to become an international @rajinikanth… So he launched an all-out attack on the world.”

However, he added, ” I swear on all the Gods in the whole wide world that there is no hidden meaning in what I said, and I promise this from the innocence in my heart.”

Yash Fans SLAM RGV

The post didn’t sit well with ‘s fans, who seemed convinced that “Poland” was a reference to the North Indian box office and that the tweet was linked to Toxic’s worldwide English release.

A fan defended the KGF star and commented, “This is the problem. Rajnikanth is highly respected and proved his mettle in course of time so he is considered a milestone of success. This doesn’t mean that a true talented guy should stop trying. He tried something new and carried everything on his shoulder nothing wrong in it.”

Another commented, “I don’t know why but it sounds like here you called out Toxic movie and Rocking star Yash. I hope Yash will understand what he’s achieved in past and maintain the same in his future.”

“The fact that you’re constantly trying to poke at him (Toxic) just proves he’s living rent-free in your head,” read a comment.

This comes after RGV’s series of “watching   again” tweets following the release of Toxic, which was earlier slated to clash with the Ranveer Singh-starrer in theatres.
