The process of army recruitment has been going on for the last 9 days in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. On the ninth day of army recruitment, the youth of Uttar Pradesh were to be recruited. For which about 20 thousand candidates had reached Pithoragarh. Many candidates got injured due to stampede during recruitment. While one candidate’s arms and legs were broken. The stampede created chaos at the recruitment site. According to the information, first there was a fight while entering the recruitment site and then a stampede broke out.
Candidates from different states had reached Devkatiya area of Jajarvel in Pithoragarh for army recruitment. However, candidates from each state had to participate in the recruitment process on different days. On the ninth day i.e. on Wednesday, candidates from UP had arrived to participate in the recruitment process. About 15 to 20 thousand candidates from the state had arrived. Due to the huge number of candidates, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the recruitment site. The police had to struggle to handle the youth. After the stampede, the police resorted to lathi charge. A young man was seriously injured in this.
Police lost their sweat
When about 20 thousand candidates arrived from Uttar Pradesh, there was an atmosphere of chaos due to the huge number. Firstly, there was a fight between the candidates while entering the recruitment venue. There was a scuffle among the youth while going inside the recruitment site. During the scuffle and going inside, the youth broke the door of the recruitment site. The police had to struggle to handle the youth. After that there was a stampede at the recruitment site. The police resorted to lathicharge to disperse the youth.
35 thousand candidates reached for 117 posts
There was a crowd of unemployed people in Pithora Garh. During army recruitment, a different situation was created due to crowd. Recruitment was to be done for 117 posts, for this till now more than 35 thousand candidates have given the physical test. Accordingly, around 300 candidates have applied for one post.
