Rakul Preet Singh Opens Up About Her Telugu Film Break

Rakul Preet Singh, who was once among the busiest actresses in Tollywood, has finally spoken about why she has been away from Telugu films for the past few years. The actress says leaving the Telugu industry was never part of her plan. It happened because of unexpected changes in her career.

Rakul shared that the COVID pandemic changed her career path. She had to move to Mumbai during that period, and opportunities started coming her way in Bollywood. As she began accepting Hindi projects, her Telugu film appearances gradually reduced. She said there was no particular reason or decision behind staying away from Tollywood.

The actress also admitted that she misses Telugu cinema and Hyderabad. She revealed that she has been listening to Telugu scripts for the past two years and is interested in making a comeback. Reports suggest that Rakul is looking at interesting projects across industries while balancing her Hindi film commitments.

Rakul was last seen in Telugu in Krish Jagarlamudi’s Konda Polam, which featured Vaishnav Tej as the male lead and released in 2021. She is currently part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where she plays Surpanakha. The actress’s latest comments have raised expectations among Telugu fans about her return to Tollywood.
