Former AAP candidate Nandani Bosmiya, 23, died suspiciously in Rajkot. The family has accused her live-in partner of murdering her and making it look like suicide. The police is investigating the matter
23-year-old former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Nandini Bosmiya has died in Rajkot, Gujarat. Questions began to be raised over her death when the family alleged that her live-in partner had murdered her and tried to make it look like suicide. Nandani, who worked as a medical representative and had earlier contested the Jetpur-Navgarh municipal elections in Gujarat on an AAP ticket, was found hanging in her fifth-floor flat on Monday evening. Emergency responders took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The family made allegations of torture and assault
According to the family, Nandani was living in a live-in relationship with Aslam Hussain Sama, a married man from Junagadh. Her father told the police that the two met when Nandani had rented Aslam’s house in Junagadh. Later both of them came to Rajkot and started living together.

Family members allege that their relationship had turned sour for the last few months. He claims that Aslam was also maintaining a relationship with his wife, due to which there were frequent fights between the two. She also accused Aslam of assaulting Nandini and harassing her repeatedly.

Her father also alleged that after a recent fight, Nandini had left the flat and stayed with relatives for a few days, but had returned a few days before her death.
Family’s claim – dead body was hanged after murder
The family has also alleged that Aslam’s relatives had earlier attacked Nandini in Junagadh and that she was being continuously harassed. Now they claim that Nandini was murdered and later her body was hanged so that the death appeared to be suicide. These allegations have also been included in the police investigation.
When the family called, it was revealed
According to a report, police said that Nandini’s relatives became worried when they could not contact her. They sent an acquaintance to their flat, where he reportedly found the door slightly open and saw Nandini hanging inside. Officers reached the spot, completed initial action and sent the body for postmortem.
Police is investigating from every angle
Rajkot Taluka Police has registered a case of accidental death and started investigation. Officials said that a preliminary investigation by a doctor suggested that the cause of death was hanging. However, in view of the serious allegations of the family, forensic postmortem has also been conducted. Investigators have confirmed that Nandini and Aslam were in a live-in relationship and had a history of disputes. Police said the investigation is still ongoing and every possible angle is being explored, including allegations of murder by the family. The real cause of death will be clear only after forensic investigation and final postmortem report.
