In a video shared by the event management company, Krushna said that the comedian was supposed to perform with him in Indore but lost his father while they were travelling for the event. “There’s a little sad news that I want to share with you all. Just as we were taking off for Indore, Rajiv Thakur, who was supposed to perform with me in Indore tomorrow, lost his father,” Krushna said in the video.

Krushna also spoke about the impact of the loss on Rajiv and those close to him. He said, “This is very sad news for him, me and the entire fraternity.” He also asked people who had bought tickets for the event to take note of the change in plans following Rajiv’s absence.
