Raj Thackeray stopped his movement with Marathi language, this is the reason

In the last few days, there was a dispute about Marathi language in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers were allegedly assaulting those who did not speak Marathi. Along with this, in the meeting organized on the day of Gudi Padwa, MNS was asked to honor Marathi language.

Along with this, MNS chief Raj Thackeray had told the workers that see whether the work is being done in Marathi in the state banks, after which the workers were seen doing these agitations in many places. Along with this, many videos of assault also went viral. The MNS chief has ordered his workers to end this movement. This order has come out after the intervention of CM Devendra Fadnavis. However, he demanded the government for compulsory use of Marathi language in all government institutions.

CM’s intervention has an impact

MNS workers had assaulted bank employees recently, many videos of which had also gone viral on social media. When the bank staff unions complained to the state government about the matter, CM Fadnavis said that the police would take action against those who took the law into their hands. Marathi Language Minister Uday Samanta also intervened. After meeting Thackeray on Saturday, Samant said that the MNS chief has some suggestions to promote Marathi and the government will consider him.

What did MNS chief say about stopping the movement

On Saturday, Raj Thackeray issued a letter and announced that he was withdrawing the movement. He congratulated the MNS workers for “the success of the movement”, but asked him to stop the movement. Thackeray said in his letter that the movement has shown the strength and power of MNS.

Thackeray said that I want to tell the government that it should make the use of Marathi mandatory for all banks and government establishments, then we will not take the law in our hands. We have spread enough awareness on this issue. So stop the movement for now.

MNS chief reversed on CM’s statement

Raj Thackeray has also given a statement on the Chief Minister’s statement. He said that while talking to the media yesterday, the Chief Minister of the state said that he will not allow anyone to take the law in hand. We also have no such desire. But if you are the protector of the law, is it not your job to follow the rules of the Reserve Bank? Ask banks and other institutions to respect Marathi, then we will not take the law in hand, it is certain.
