Rahul Gandhi Gandhi Smriti March: Amidst the paper leak controversy, Rahul Gandhi and INDIA alliance MPs reached Gandhi Smriti. With the tribute to the students, the pressure of accountability on the government was increased. Mobile internet service was also temporarily stopped around Jantar Mantar.
The opposition movement is continuously gaining momentum in the national capital over the paper leak controversy. On Thursday, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi along with MPs of ‘India’ alliance reached Gandhi Smriti located on 30th January Road. He said that the visit is to pay tribute to the students who lost their lives after the alleged NEET paper leak. He also said that the entire opposition stands with the injured students and the youth demanding justice.

Rahul Gandhi said that the ‘India’ alliance MPs are going to Gandhi Smriti in a peaceful manner, to remember those students who lost their lives after facing severe mental pressure after the paper leak. He said that the opposition stands strongly with the students who are demanding justice and accountability today.

During this, Congress MP Rajeev Shukla alleged that the administration tried to stop the opposition by barricading at various places. Whereas Renuka Chaudhary said that it is the right of every citizen to protest democratically and there is no question of being afraid of it.

Internet service temporarily closed around Jantar Mantar
Security arrangements have been tightened amid the demonstration. On the instructions of the Home Ministry, mobile internet services were temporarily suspended from 4 pm to 12 midnight within 1.5 km radius of Jantar Mantar. The administration says that this step has been taken with the aim of maintaining law and order.

Meanwhile, RJD MP Sanjay Yadav claimed that 152 paper leak cases were reported in the last 10 years, but the culprits were not punished in any case. He reiterated the demand for transparency in the education system.
Murli Manohar Joshi also expressed concern
Meanwhile, BJP Margdarshak Mandal member and former Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi also expressed concern about the students’ agitation. He said that the concerns of students from all over the country should not be seen as merely a matter of law and order. According to him, this entire issue should be resolved with sensitivity, dialogue and foresight. He also expressed concern over the alleged use of force on women and girls and said that such incidents send a wrong message to the society.
